Subject: [ILUG] Tv out card required

Hi All,

I have an old machine P3, that im converting into a dvd player using red
hat linux 8. I was wondering if anyone knows of a cheapie TV out card
that I can use that works on Linux. I would get an NVidia card and use
the Unified driver install to get it working, +but that may be overkill.

Cheers,
Rob

Hello,

You could go for an hollywood card, the Xcard (successor of the dxr3
card) isn't that expensive :

It works well on Linux : http://dxr3.sf.net and both versions (dxr3 /
Xcard) will read divX movies on Linux.
